Central Falls : Four alarm fire in Central Falls RI on a cool summer night. Crews battled the stubborn blaze for about one hour before brining it under control. The fire spread quickly from the basement to the attic due to balloon frame construction. Several firefighters were treated for minor injuries, no civilian injuries were reported. East School St Woonsocket : Three alarm fire in a two and a half story multiple occupied dwelling. Crews had to go to defensive operations with several ladder pipes set up. This fire was a few houses away from the Pond St fire back in May. You can see those pics in the 2008 galleries as well. All photos are for sale. 1150 Mendon Rd Cumberland RI : Cumberland Rhode Island firefighters responded to a reported structure fire at 1150 Mendon road around 11:45 pm Tuesday night. Upon arrival companies had heavy black smoke billowing from the one story commercial structure which houses a hair salon. Crews attempted to make an aggressive interior attack however were driven back by intense heat and poor visibility. Shortly after the deployment of the initial attack lines firefighters were ordered out of the building. Although it appears as though the salon was closed at the time of the blaze, it has been reported by several people on the scene there was a break in shortly before the fire occured. This has yet to be confirmed by police. No injuries were reported. The building is a total loss. All photos are for sale. The prices are as follows, 5x7 $10, 8x10 $20, 11x14 $30, and 16x20 $45. Bungay Lake Mansfield : Residents along Bungay lake in North Attleboro and Mansfield were awakened early morning 7/5/08 to the smell of smoke and something burning. North Attleboro Police and Fire and Mansfield Fire were called to the scene to investigate. Upon arrival a second alarm was struck by North Attleboro for a fully involved two story wood frame structure on an Island about 200 to 300 yards off shore. Off duty North Attleboro fire Lt Flynn as well as other residents utilized their boats to assist firefighters to the Island with equipment and hose lines. The large house was belived to be vacant, there were other structures on the island however they were not involved. Mansfield, North Attleboro, Plainville, and Foxboro were all on scene. A supply line was stretched from shore to the island and several portable pumps were used on the island to supply water. There were no injuries, the fire is being investigated by Mansfield Fire and police.

835 Mount Hope St North Attleboro : At about 5:30pm a working fire was struck for Unit 20 of The Ledges condo. Upon arrival companies had smoke showing from the roof of the two and half story four unit condo. Crews had to open up ceilings and walls to get the fire. Fire and smoke damages was contained to the unit of origin. Crews were in operation about an hour and a half. No injuries. Soldiering of a pipe may be the cause.

Kevin Rd B platoon : At approximately 3:30PM January 6, 2008 North Attleboro received a call for a propane truck fully involved against a house on Kevin Rd. Upon arrival companies found a construction utility truck fully involved close to the house. The owner of the vehicle reported that there was a full twenty pound propane cylinder in the back of the truck. The members of B platoon made quick work of the stubborn fire and spared the house, which was about five feet away, from major damage.
